Siliguri, 08th May: People are facing several problems in admitting their near and dear ones suffering from COVID-19 in nursing homes. Many have lost their lives due to a lack of treatment at the right time. After a similar incident, the Railway Mazdoor Union has demanded to blacklist a nursing home in Siliguri.
The union alleged that despite the agreement, the management of the said nursing home is causing problems in admitting the corona patients. Many railway workers of the New Jalpaiguri area have died due to lack of treatment.
The organization’s co-general secretary Paritosh Paul said that even though the agreement was made with the railway, patients are deprived of receiving treatment in the said nursing home. He further said that a memorandum was submitted to the CMS office of the railway hospital seeking to blacklist the said nursing home.
