Raiganj, 15th April: Sensation prevailed after a man was crushed to death after a tree fell on top of him in the Makra village of Bahin Gram Panchayat under Raiganj police station. The deceased has been identified as Asit Das.
According to the family sources of the deceased, Das was working on his farm, this morning when heavy rainfall with strong winds lashed over the area. Das took shelter under a tree which unfortunately crushed him to death.
While the deceased’s brother rushed Das to the Raiganj Government Medical College-Hospital, the doctors pronounced him dead.
