Siliguri, 14th December: The foundation ceremony for a new Radha Krishna temple was held on Sunday in Uttar Shanti Nagar, Siliguri, bringing joy to local residents.
Until now, the area did not have a Radha Krishna temple, and locals had long wished to have one in their own neighbourhood.
This aspiration is set to be fulfilled with the support of Barnali Sarkar, on whose donated land the temple will be constructed.
The ceremony was organised on Sunday in Netaji Para, following traditional rituals, marking the formal beginning of the temple’s construction. Work on building the temple is expected to commence soon. The event was attended by a large number of local residents.
