Naxalbari, 08th May: The 25th day of the Bengali month of Baisakh was marked by a grand celebration honoring the birth anniversary of renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore in Naxalbari.
Reportedly, on Wednesday morning, a program was organized by Naxalbari Sarada Vidyamandir, featuring IPS Ashish Kumar, the acting in-charge of Naxalbari police station, who laid a floral tribute at the statue of ‘Kaviguru’ within the police station premises. The event witnessed the active participation of school teachers and esteemed social figures.
Later, a vibrant procession was carried out from the police station which circumambulated various areas. IPS Ashish Kumar emphasized the enduring importance of Kaviguru’s ideals, advocating for a society guided by principles of peace, love, and integrity.
