Kharibari, 18th August: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) party of the Kharibari block staged a sit-in protest demanding the arrest and the death penalty for those responsible for the R.G. Kar Medical College incident.
The protest took place at the Panitanki Market located along the Indo-Nepal border. Significantly, the protest demanded that the CBI expedite its investigation and ensure the arrest of the culprits.
In this regard, Kharibari Block TMC President Kishori Mohan Singh stated that the march was held in a continuation of the call for justice.
