Siliguri, 13th August: The Siliguri branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has staged a major protest in response to the assault and murder of a junior doctor at the R.G. Kar Medical College.
According to reports, on Tuesday, the demonstration began at Siliguri District Hospital, proceeding through Hashmi Chawk (Venus More), Sevoke Road, and Airview More, before returning to the district hospital and concluding near Kanchanjunga Stadium.
The protest witnessed participation from various volunteer organizations. The demonstration highlights the growing concern within the medical community over the safety and security of healthcare professionals.
