Darjeeling, 17th March: A massive protest rally was organized by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (Binay faction) Youth Front in Darjeeling, today, against the life-threatening attack on Sanjay Thulung, the Central Advisor and former member of GJM (Binay faction).
The rally, that commenced from Chowrasta, circled the town area and besieged the Sadar Police Station. Also, a memorandum was handed over to the police officer regarding the incident on behalf of the Youth Front. A large number of members, including the top officials of the GJM Youth Front, were present on the occasion.
According to the police, Sanjay Thulung was attacked by some miscreants near the Darjeeling Railway Station, on March 15. So far, three accused have been arrested in connection with the incident.
