Siliguri, 09th February: A march was held in Siliguri by several organizations, including SFI, DYFI, AIDWA, and Basti organizations, demanding justice for the victim of the R.G. Kar case. The protest coincided with the birthday of the deceased young doctor involved in the incident, whose tragic death still remains a matter of unresolved justice.
Although the accused Sanjay Roy has been convicted and punished for the incident, the actual culprits remain at large. The protesters, including members of various groups, rallied through the streets calling for the arrest of the real offenders and justice for the victim.
Dr. Subarna Goswami, speaking on behalf of the organizations, stated that today’s date was marked by the birthday of the young doctor who tragically passed away at R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital. In her memory, they have gathered once again to demand justice. The protesting group questioned whether the police had apprehended the true culprits involved in the case.
