Siliguri, 24th June: A dispute broke out in Siliguri District Hospital on Thursday morning over giving coupons for vaccination. Several people waiting for vaccination in the hospital started protesting as they were deprived of coupons even after waiting in long queues since early morning. They alleged that a brokerage racket was being run in the hospital.
Many people who came to get vaccinated complained that although they had been waiting since 3 am, only a handful of people were given the coupons. They further alleged that 100 names were registered initially, however, the hospital authorities later informed that there were no more coupons left. Following this, most of the people waiting in queues started protesting.
