Siliguri, 24th June: Several people protested over COVID-19 vaccination at Panighata More near Bagdogra, on Thursday.
It has been learned that many elderly people were waiting in queues at Upper Bagdogra Girls’ School since this morning. After waiting for three-four hours, they came to know that they would not be vaccinated today. Following this, they blocked the Asian Highway and started demonstrating.
Meanwhile, a large police force of Bagdogra police reached the spot after receiving the news of the incident. Later, the situation came under control with police intervention.
