Phansidewa, 27th August: Bharat Jakat Majhi Pargana led a protest rally in Phansidewa on Tuesday, calling for justice in two major incidents. The rally addressed the brutal murder of a tribal woman from Jhapantala village in Burdwan and the ongoing R.G. Kar Medical College case.
The protest began at Phansidewa Goaltuli More and proceeded to the Phansidewa police station, with support from the United Forum. Participants submitted a memorandum to Circle Inspector (CI) Naxalbari, demanding action against the perpetrators of both incidents.
Ampa Mardi, a member of the organization, emphasized the need for accountability in the Burdwan case and called for enhanced safety measures for women in the state.
