Siliguri, 09th March: Organizations in Siliguri held a protest march alleging disrespect toward the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
The event was organized on Monday by the ‘Sachetan Nagarik Manch’ and ‘Janjati Suraksha Manch’ at Airview More. The march proceeded from the venue to the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Siliguri, where a delegation from the organizations submitted a memorandum.
Members of the organizations stated that disrespectful behavior toward the country’s highest constitutional office is highly condemnable. They added that the protest was organized to voice their opposition to such conduct.
