Protest in Siliguri over suspension of five BJP MLAs from WB Legislative Assembly

Siliguri, 29th March: After a conflict broke out between Trinamool and BJP MLAs in the assembly, Five BJP MLAs, including Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, were suspended by West Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Bandyopadhyay on Monday for their alleged unruly conduct in the House.


The party workers staged a protest in front of the Siliguri police station today. MLA Shankar Ghosh, Matigara-Naxalbari MLA, and district BJP president Anandamoy Barman were present during the demonstration. The leaders and activists raised questions as to why only the BJP MLAs were suspended in the incident.
