Siliguri, 09th September: A staff member of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital staged a sit-in protest in front of the Principal’s office on Monday, alleging the presence of a ‘threat culture’ within the institution.
The protester claimed that three to four individuals associated with the medical college have been engaging in threatening behaviour towards staff members. The protester further asserted that previous complaints about this issue had been reported to the Principal. However, no action has been taken against the issue.
The protesting staff member has received major support from the entire staff. Additionally, the protestors warned of a larger agitation if the ‘threat culture’ within the institution does not come to an end immediately.
