Kharibari, 24th August: CPI(M) and leftist student organizations in Kharibari staged a protest against the R.G. Kar Medical College incident by burning an effigy of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The protest procession began in front of the Kharibari BDO office and concluded at Thanjhora More. During the demonstration, the protesters demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister and vowed to continue their agitation until the culprits are brought to justice.
