Rajganj, 21st December: A preparatory meeting was organised at Chairikhari in Rajganj in connection with the upcoming 113th Upanayan Divas of Thakur Panchanan Barma, which will be observed on the 27th of (Magh) month.
The meeting was convened with the objective of celebrating the 113th Upanayan Divas of the Rajbanshi Kshatriya community, along with the International Rajbanshi Kshatriya Milan Diwas and the Kulaguru-Kulshishya Sammelan.
The preparatory meeting was held on Sunday on the banks of the Karatoya River at Mehendigachh in Rajganj, under the management of the Jalpaiguri district committee of the North Bengal Kshatriya Rajbanshi Kulaguru Kulshishya and Bhakta Samaj Seva Organisation.
Several prominent personalities were present at the meeting, including Trinamool Congress SC-OBC district president Krishna Das, Matigara-Naxalbari MLA Anandamoy Barman, committee president Karuna Kanta Adhikari, Hardeb Adhikari, Bidhan Roy, along with other distinguished members and representatives from various parts of North Bengal.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on how to organise the programme on 27th (Magh) month in a smooth, disciplined, and dignified manner.
Topics such as religious rituals, maintenance of discipline, hospitality for guests, and overall event management were discussed, with leaders offering suggestions and opinions.
A collective appeal was made to ensure the successful and respectful conduct of the upcoming event.
