Rajganj, 25th January: The members of Pramila Vahini and the police launched a campaign against the sale of liquor in the Simulguri area of Mantadari Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block.
As per the details, Pramila Vahini received information about the unauthorized sale of liquor in a few residences in the Simulguri area. Based on the information, the members of Pramila Vahini and the police arrived at the area on Thursday afternoon. Significantly, about a hundred women of Pramila Vahini along with cops of Bhorer Alo police station raided several houses in the area. However, no intoxicating substances were recovered during the operation.
In this regard, local women claimed that liquor has been sold in various residences in the area for a prolonged time. They added that alcohol consumption is causing unrest in the area. Further, they stated that even minors are getting addicted to alcohol.
