Siliguri, 15th March: Pradhan Nagar police launched an operation and recovered a huge cache of illegal liquor, on Monday. The driver and his associate were arrested in this regard.
Reportedly, the police, based on a tip-off, stopped a truck near Siliguri’s State Guest House this evening. Upon searching, more than one thousand cartons of liquor were found hidden in the truck.
According to police sources, the truck bearing Rajasthan’s vehicle number was heading from Arunachal Pradesh to Bihar to smuggle the illicit liquor. The police seized the truck and brought it to the police station. The police are investigating the entire incident.
