Siliguri, 06th August: A minor girl who went missing for the past 10 days was rescued from the Bihar Samastipur area by a special team of Pradhan Nagar Police. A person, identified as Gobinda Yadav was arrested in the incident.
It has been alleged that on July 21, the accused lured the 14-year-old girl to go to Bihar. Following which, allegation of abduction case was filed against Gobinda Yadav on July 27 on behalf of the family of the minor girl. Based on the complaint, the police launched investigations and learned about his whereabouts.
A team of five was formed under the leadership of IC of Pradhan Nagar Police Station Subhasish Chaki. With the assistance of Samastipur Police Station, the minor was rescued from the residence of accused Govinda Yadav.
Meanwhile, a special team arrested Govinda Yadav in a kidnapping case and reached the Pradhan Nagar police station this morning. The minor was later handed over to the CWC. On the other hand, the arrested accused was produced in Siliguri court today.
