Siliguri, 11th June: The Pradhan Nagar police raided a gambling den in the tea garden area adjacent to Dagapur and Milan More and arrested five men. The arrested accused have been identified as Arjun Roy, Tapas Barman, Anand Barman, Shyamal Barman, and Arun Basfore.
According to police sources, reports of gambling surfaced from various tea gardens of Siliguri during the lockdown. Based on the complaints, the police raided the said area and nabbed five men and seized Rs 42,500 cash and a car from their possession.
The court remanded the accused in custody for 14 days after they were produced in Siliguri court today.
