Siliguri, 2nd July: The Pradhan Nagar Police Station of Siliguri Metropolitan Police has apprehended two people suspected to run an illegal business of online gambling in the Samar Nagar market. The accused have been identified as Ranjan Chakraborty and Sujit Chakraborty.
Police sources claimed that Ranjan Chakraborty had been running an online lottery business in the Samar Nagar market for a long time. On receiving the news, the Pradhan Nagar police launched a campaign last night and seized computers, printers, scanners, and other gambling machines. Subsequently, the accused Ranjan Chakraborty and Sujit Chakraborty were detained on charges of running an online lottery illegally. Today both the accused have been produced before the Siliguri court.
