Siliguri, 18th February: Two men identified as Umesh Yadav and Choton Kumar Shah have been arrested for stealing electrical wires worth lakhs.
According to police sources, a complaint was lodged at the police station around a week ago regarding the theft of electrical wires in the area adjacent to Circuit house under Pradhan Nagar police station. After investigating the incident, the police arrested Umesh Yadav. He was produced in court and taken into police custody for 3 days. After questioning him, police learned about another accused Choton Kumar Shah, and then arrested him. Following this, the stolen electricity wires worth lakhs were recovered.
The duo was produced at Siliguri court today.
