Siliguri, 08th August: The Pradhan Nagar police arrested three women with around 8 kgs of cannabis. The arrested accused have been identified as Kanchan Mandal (35), Fuldevi Mandal (40) and Renu Devi Bhagat (40). They are residents of Bhagalpur in Bihar.
According to police sources, they received a tip-off concerning three women who had reached Siliguri Junction bus stand to smuggle cannabis in Bihar. Following which, the Pradhan Nagar police launched operations at the bus stand. Their bags were searched and 8 kilos of cannabis were recovered. They were produced at the Siliguri court today.
