Siliguri, 29th July: In a significant breakthrough, Pradhan Nagar police station officers arrested four individuals in possession of a firearm and live ammunition, preventing a planned robbery of an ATM or gold shop in Siliguri. The arrested suspects have been identified as Santosh Magar (30) from Sikkim, Arivan Pradhan (30) from Darjeeling, Manoj Bihari (27) from Oodlabari, and Kesto Pahan (26) from Kharibari.
Reports indicate that on Sunday night, a group of 10-12 individuals gathered in the Pradhan Nagar police station area, hiding inside the Dagapur tea garden with the intent of committing a major theft or robbery. Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended four of the suspects.
The arrested individuals were presented in Siliguri court on Monday. The police are currently investigating the entire incident.
