Siliguri, 22nd December: Residents of Shastri Nagar area in Ward no- 41 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation put up posters of “No Water – No Road – No Drain – No Vote”.
The locals expressed outrage and said that the road has not been repaired even once. Till now, no new work has been done for the development of the ward. Every individual has to travel several kilometers to fetch drinking water. Ward residents also accused former ward councilor and Trinamool leader Ravi Roy of doing caste politics. At the same time, the principle of not voting for any political party has been taken till the problems are resolved.
