Siliguri, 18th April: Post-election unrest was reported near Siliguri Noukaghat.
Allegedly, the BJP workers claimed that they were attacked in the said area yesterday under the Dabgram-Fulbari assembly. BJP candidate Shikha Chatterjee went to the area this morning. Many BJP workers also accompanied her.
The residents of the Porajhar area alleged that the BJP candidate threatened them, following which, a large police force reached the spot. Meanwhile, candidate Shikha Chatterjee reached the NJP police station today and told the police officials regarding how the party workers were attacked last night.
On the other hand, the Trinamool workers said that BJP also attacked their party leaders and workers.
