Siliguri, 24th April: A young man, Ram Krishna Goswami, who was married to Siliguri’s Ward No. 22 resident Chumki Goswami in 2012, had married for a second time despite being with his first wife. The incident led to his first wife catching him on Sunday, after which he was thrashed by the public. Currently, the man is in police custody.
According to reports, Ram Krishna disappeared from his home six months ago after taking some money, prompting Chumki Goswami to file a missing report with the police. However, he contacted his first wife a few days ago and they started living together again.
On Sunday, Chumki followed her husband and caught him red-handed with his second wife at Tinbatti More, leading to him being beaten up. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and arrested Ram Krishna Goswami based on the complaint filed by his first wife. The accused was produced in Siliguri court today.
