Alipurduar, 18th April: Polling personnel arrived at the Alipurduar University DCRC on Thursday morning. Under the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls, voting would be held in Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar constituencies on Friday.
Reportedly, there are a total of 1867 booths in Alipurduar district, 1858 main and 9 auxiliary booths. The district holds a total of 17,72,877 voters, including 08, 88, 798 male voters, 8, 84, 015 female voters, and 64 third gender voters.
Significantly, 63 companies of central forces have arrived for security and peaceful polls in the district.
