Siliguri, 11th April: NJP police station has arrested two miscreants following an investigation into the alleged snatching of a policeman’s wife’s bag in Siliguri. The incident took place on April 9 near Tinbatti Overbridge.
According to reports, the victim, wife of a policeman named Anisur Rahman, had visited her daughter’s house in Shaktigarh. She was returning to her home in Chunavati at night in an e-rickshaw.
During the journey, three miscreants on a bike chased the e-rickshaw and snatched her bag near Tinbatti Overbridge before fleeing. In the process, the woman fell onto the road.
Following the investigation, police arrested two individuals on Thursday identified as MD Saurav and Anu Sutradhar. Both are residents of the Shaktigarh area.
The police are currently searching for the third miscreant involved in the incident.
