Siliguri, 15th May: Despite repeated reminders to stay home, several people are still being sighted in the Siliguri Mahabirsthan area, deliberately breaching the lockdown restrictions.
Several two-wheelers and four-wheelers were spotted parked at the roadside. Movement of e- rickshaws(toto) and vans amid the ongoing lockdown is also creating traffic congestion on a daily basis.
In this regard, the Siliguri police, on Friday morning, launched operations in the said area and detained several vehicles plying on the streets. The drivers have also been detained.
