Kharibari, 26th December: Police conducted an operation in Kharibari following reports of sand and stone theft from the Dumuria River. During the early morning raid, several tractors carrying stolen sand and stones fled the spot, but police managed to seize one tractor.
The driver of the seized tractor managed to escape. Authorities have stated that further operations are planned in the coming days to curb illegal sand and stone extraction from the river.
Police sources confirmed that efforts will continue to prevent such activities and ensure the protection of natural resources in the area.
