Police recover stolen scooty in Siliguri, thief still at large

Siliguri, 22nd December: The officials of Matigara Police Station have successfully recovered a stolen scooty. However, the thief remains at large.


According to reports, on the night of December 18, a scooty was stolen from in front of the C Block in the Sainikpuri area under the jurisdiction of Matigara Police Station. The owner of the vehicle filed a written complaint at the station on the 19th, and an investigation was launched immediately.

During the investigation, the police examined the CCTV footage and information from confidential sources to track down the stolen scooty. Subsequently, the scooty was recovered from a secluded area in the Khaprail locality. However, the thief’s whereabouts remain unknown.


Police sources suggest that the stolen scooty may have been intended for sale in Nepal, but it was recovered before the plan could be executed. After completing the necessary legal procedures, the scooty was returned to its rightful owner.

The Matigara Police Station continues to search for the thief and is proceeding with further investigations into the matter.
