Siliguri, 03rd August: After four months of investigation, cops from the Bhakti Nagar police station recovered the stolen scooty and apprehended the suspect involved in the theft. The accused has been identified as Begen Tamang (26).
The incident took place on March 23 when a scooty belonging to Chaitanya Agarwal was stolen from a hotel near Sevoke Road. Following the theft, Chaitanya filed a written complaint at the Bhakti Nagar police station, prompting the authorities to launch a thorough investigation. Their relentless efforts paid off when they received a tip-off about the scooty thief, leading to Begen Tamang’s arrest on Wednesday from Ward No. 04 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
During the interrogation, the stolen scooty was found in his possession. Today, the accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri Court.
