“Police Outpost to be set up at Bengal Safari for Tourist safety” – Commissioner C. Sudhakar

Siliguri, 21st January: In a move to ensure the safety of tourists, a police outpost will be set up at the Bengal Safari Park in Siliguri. Additionally, bike patrolling will be implemented to maintain law and order in the park and surrounding areas.


This announcement was made by Siliguri Police Commissioner C. Sudhakar during a ceremony held on the 10th anniversary of Bengal Safari Park. The event was attended by key officials, including the Chief Conservator of Forests for the North-Western Region, P.R. Pradhan, and other dignitaries.

During the event, workers who contributed to the park’s development and participants in various competitions were honored.


Police Commissioner C. Sudhakar stated that a police outpost will be established at the park to ensure the safety of visiting tourists. He further mentioned that the park authorities would need to submit a proposal for the outpost, after which the necessary steps for its establishment will be taken by the police commissioner.
