Rajganj, 14th January: In a proactive initiative to resolve public grievances, police are now visiting localities to directly listen to people’s problems. On Tuesday, police officers from Belakoba Outpost met with the residents of Dhoper Haat in the Shikarpur Gram Panchayat to address their concerns.
This initiative has encouraged those who are afraid to visit the police station to come forward with their complaints. Present at the event were Belakoba outpost OC K.T. Lepcha and ASI Biswajit Mahanto. Residents shared their difficulties related to public services and other issues.
Many locals expressed that they previously feared going to the police station due to concerns about legal complications. However, with the police now coming to their neighborhoods, they feel more comfortable discussing their issues directly with them.
