Siliguri, 24th March: In a significant breakthrough, the cops of Pradhan Nagar police station have apprehended a miscreant who was found roaming with firearm prior to executing a criminal act. The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammad Suleman Haque, a resident of the area under Pradhan Nagar police station.
According to police sources, on Saturday, Suleman was spotted roaming in the Champasari Anchal area carrying firearm to execute a major criminal act. However, while patrolling, the Pradhan Nagar police sensed the presence of the accused in the area and apprehended him based on suspicion.
During the search, a shutter gun and live ammunition were recovered from his possession. Consequently, the police filed a case against him for illegal possession of firearm and carrying weapons at night with intent to commit a serious crime. It has to be noted that the accused, Mohammad Suleman Haque, is known for his criminal record with several cases registered against him. On Sunday, the accused was produced before the Siliguri Court.
