Siliguri, 15th October: A shocking incident came to light following the arrest of the ringleader of the ATM card fraud gang in Siliguri. The accused scammer has been identified as Rohit Rajak a resident of Gopalganj in Bihar.
According to reports, on Saturday night, the accused fraudster was arrested from in front of an ATM in the Laketown area based on suspicion. During the search, about 32 ATM cards from various banks were recovered.
During the interrogation, the accuser revealed several shocking information in connection to executing the illegal activity. The suspect admitted that he planned the scam by waiting in front of an ATM and swiftly swapped the cards as soon as he had the opportunity.
Following this, he would withdraw all the money from the bank account and later hide in Bihar. On Sunday, the accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri Court. The entire incident is currently under further police investigation.
