Police arrest three miscreants for scooty theft in Siliguri

Siliguri, 03rd August: In a significant breakthrough, the police apprehended three individuals on Friday night while they were attempting to sell a stolen scooty in Siliguri. The arrested suspects, identified as Krishna Singha, Gopal Barman, and Vijay Barman, were caught by a patrolling police van under the Khalpara outpost.


According to reports, the police noticed the trio with a scooty that had its number plate removed. Upon detention and interrogation, inconsistencies in their statements led to further investigation. The suspects were subsequently taken to the Khalpara outpost, where they confessed to the theft.

The scooter, originally stolen from the Patharghata area under the Matigara police station jurisdiction, was recovered. The three individuals were presented in Siliguri court on Saturday. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
