Siliguri, 03rd November: The police from the Medical Outpost have arrested a man for allegedly stealing a motorcycle from North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. The accused, identified as Chandan Gwala (50), is a resident of Siliguri.
According to reports, Gwala stole the motorcycle on Saturday from in front of the emergency department entrance and fled the scene. Following the incident, the owner of the motorcycle filed a written complaint at the Medical Outpost.
Based on the complaint, police initiated an investigation and identified the thief using CCTV footage. Acting on tip-off, the Medical Outpost police apprehended Chandan Gwala on Saturday night in the Shiv Mandir area.
The accused has been presented in the Siliguri court on Sunday, and the police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
