Siliguri, 21st December: BJP has raised their voices alleging of the failure of the police administration to eliminate and control unlawful and criminal activities in Siliguri. In protest against this, today a protest rally was taken out by the Siliguri Organizational district of BJP from Hashmi Chowk and circumambulated different areas of the city.
During this, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh was also present. In this regard, MLA Shankar Ghosh alleged that the police are engaged in inflating the leaders of the ruling party by working to fulfil their political agendas. Citing the above reasons for the occurrence of murders and criminal activities in Siliguri. He further stated that the law and order have failed in the city.
The collusion of the police is encouraging criminals to commit crimes as most of them are released with no stern punishment. MLA Shankar Ghosh further warned to launch a massive agitation if the culprits are not properly brought to justice by serving them punishment at the earliest.
