Rajganj, 20th April: Recently, the Central Government announced that all the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana would get free LPG cylinders for the next 3 months as a part of the coronavirus relief package.
Despite the COVID-19 lockdown, huge crowds were spotted in front of the gas distribution centers in the Ambari area of Rajganj since early morning today to receive the free gas cylinders under the said scheme. Ignoring the government guidelines, the people stood in close contact with each other without maintaining social distance (a minimum of 1 m).
The locals have demanded an increase in police surveillance in this regard.
