Kharibari, 12th January: In a horrifying mishap, a pickup van accidentally overturned on the National Highway (NH) 327 at the Dhakru More area of Panitanki in Kharibari resulting in its driver and co-driver to suffer significant injuries.
As per reports, the incident took place when two buses on the NH were attempting to overtake each other. In an attempt to evade collision, the pickup van loaded with spices heading towards Siliguri abruptly lost control and overturned on the road.
Upon receiving the information, the officials of the Panitanki Outpost and the Traffic police promptly arrived at the scene and took the pickup van into custody. At present, the police are investigating the incident.
