Phansidewa, 10th September: The Phansidewa police arrested a Bangladeshi cattle smuggler. The arrested accused has been identified as Nayan Ali (22).
According to police sources, Ali was arrested while patrolling near Dhania More in Phansidewa. Upon searching, a knife and Bangladeshi cigarettes were recovered from his possession.
During interrogation, he confessed that he had entered India illegally to smuggle cattle. A case has been filed against him under certain sections. The arrested individual was produced at the Siliguri sub-divisional court on Friday.
