Phansidewa, 25th March: Phansidewa Ghoshpukur Youth Congress protested against the dismissal of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from the Lok Sabha as the MP after his conviction in a criminal defamation case.
A rally was taken out from the party office at Ghoshpukur, on Saturday. Later, the party workers staged a sit-in protest on the National Highway. When the police tried to intervene, the a scuffle with the police broke out. An atmosphere of tension engulfed the area due to this.
Speaking in this regard, District Youth Congress President Rohit Tiwari said that continuous protests will be held against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “A ‘Team-B’ police is working under the agreement of Didi and Modi,” he alleged.
