Siliguri, 11th August: Due to the pitiful drainage system in the South Colony, Sriniwas Colony of Fulbari No. 1 Gram Panchayat, the residents are facing numerous problems. It has been alleged that the sewage water enters inside several houses in the area especially during the rainy season.
According to the locals, even after a light rain, different parts of Fulbari No. 1 Gram Panchayat get submerged underwater. Due to which common people have to face many problems including drinking water. Locals further alleged that even after making the local Panchayat and Pradhan aware of the matter, no solution has been given to them. They warned of staging an agitation if the drainage system is not repaired at the earliest.
