Jalpaiguri, 26th April: Amid the rising coronavirus cases, people who arrived to get the COVID-19 vaccine protested in front of the vaccination centre in Jalpaiguri’s Pharmacy College and gheraoed the CMOH of the district health department.
Reportedly, hundreds of people reached the said vaccination centre on Monday to get vaccinated. They alleged that they returned home without getting vaccinated even after standing in long queues for hours. They expressed outrage over the district health department role, especially during such an alarming state.
Meanwhile, the hospital authorities said that from tomorrow, the number of vaccination centres will be increased and 200 people will be given vaccine coupons.
