Alipurduar, 03rd February: Locals staged a protest in front of the Alipurduar District Higher Education Department on Monday against the transfer of the Teacher-in-charge of Damanpur High School. The protest commenced under the leadership of the Alipurduar District Trinamool former Vice-President Niranjan Dey.
The school students stated that after Tapan Narjinary was appointed as the Teacher-in-charge of the school, the condition of the academics in the school improved a lot. Therefore, the students and the guardians jointly submitted a memorandum to the District School Inspector Tapan Sinha with a demand to cancel the transfer of Narjinary.
