Kharibari, 10th September: A tragic incident surfaced where a passenger bus lost control and crashed into the back of a scooty, leaving two people severely injured. The accident occurred on Asian Highway 2 in the Uttar Ramadhan Jote area, near Kharibari’s Panitanki.
The injured, reportedly residents of Bazaru Jote in Panitanki, were heading towards Naxalbari when a private passenger bus, traveling from Panitanki to Siliguri, lost control and struck their scooty. Robin Barman and Kalyani Roy Barman sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Local residents quickly responded, rescuing the injured and admitting them to Naxalbari hospital for treatment. Following the incident, police from Kharibari’s Panitanki Outpost arrived at the scene, seizing the bus involved in the accident. An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
