Siliguri, 28th August: The incessant rainfall left almost the entire city waterlogged today and residents were a harried lot. The waterlogging in the Ambika Nagar underpass is also creating nuisance in the area. Today, the rainwater collected knee-high making it difficult for the two-wheelers to commute.
In addition to this, residents of Ashoknagar area are also facing numerous problems. Like every year, this time too, water accumulated in the area. Residents expressed anguish as rainwater entered many houses. They blamed the lack of a proper drainage system and no initiative of the administration for the condition. They also questioned the role of public representatives.
