Parents protest as teachers arrive late at Rajganj school

Rajganj, 11th July: Parents of students at Jotiakali Junior Basic School under Fulbari II Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block expressed outrage as teachers failed to arrive on time despite school starting at 11 am.

According to reports, students arrived punctually, but teachers were noticeably absent past the scheduled start time. The acting headmaster finally appeared at 11:15 am, followed by another teacher at 11:45 am. A third teacher arrived only by noon, while one teacher remained absent, citing leave.

Parents, frustrated by the consistent tardiness, protested the delay, citing various excuses provided by the teachers. Some teachers claimed traffic congestion, domestic issues, or sporadic delays, which the parents deemed unacceptable for regular government job responsibilities.

Expressing concern, parents highlighted that such delays were not isolated incidents but a recurring problem affecting their children’s education. They called for stricter monitoring of school staff attendance and maintenance.

Responding to the incident, Rajganj School SI Anup Halder acknowledged the parental concerns and pledged to investigate the matter further to ensure accountability and timely attendance of teachers.
